I enjoyed my stay at Monte de Luz very much. The Villa was extremely comfortable,everything you could possibly need (and more)! was supplied and there was great attention to detail.

The furnishings and decor are comfortable and stylish - I particularly liked the comfy bed with the softest pillows and duvet and pristine white fluffy towels.

The pool was perfect for cooling off in and the immaculate garden has lots of interesting plants. My favourite part was the bedroom balcony overlooking the pool, palm trees, the sea and Black Rock. Praia da Luz is a pretty town with a calm, peaceful atmosphere and a really lovely beach. The coastal walks in either direction give great views and the location is ideal for exploring the wild west coast and the hills around Monchique. Wonderful, thank you!"

Last minute break with my girlfriend and very happy with everything. Decided on coming here as was the same price as an apartment at the ocean club and was a great decision.

Lovely 2 bed villa, quiet location and though we had a car we could walk to restaurants etc. Played tennis at the local club for free which was great as well.

PERFECT FOR TWO OR THREE FAMILIES.

Just returned from a fantastic week. We are two families and it was great to be together but have our own space.Great BBQ areas and we paid to have the pool heated which was excellent. Will definitely go here again maybe as a bigger group.

LOVELY TIME AGAIN.

Our third visit to these villas. Stayed in Bougainvillea this time and appreciated the extra Bbq area. Very relaxing week although did manage to play some Tennis and Table Tennis. Recommend Chica's restaurant for their amazing Desserts.

This villa was even better than it looked in the photos on the website - it really had the wow factor as we drew up outside the property; as we walked into the lounge and the massive kitchen and again as we entered the main bedroom with it's marvellous view from the balcony.

The facilities were great - especially the barbecue on the terrace and the covered seating area in the private garden attaching to this property.

To my delight we were regularly visited by a group of azure winged magpies - a bird I have never seen before and was able to identify using a bird guide from the comprehensive range of books provided in the lounge. What a treat!

The only downsides are the fact that the villa is at the end of a cobbled road on a slight hill - OK for most but could be difficult for the elderly or those with walking difficulties. In common with most rental properties in Portugal, the basic items such as washing up liquid, salt and pepper etc are not provided - and they could so easily be.
